Norfolk Business Board launches Norfolk Ambassadors Programme
On Wednesday 25 June, on the first evening of the Royal Norfolk Show, the Norfolk Business Board officially launched its Norfolk Ambassador Programme.

At a reception jointly hosted by Norfolk Chambers, more than 100 members of the Norfolk business community gathered to celebrate the success of the first day of the UK's largest two-day agricultural and county show.
A key part of the reception was a presentation by Norfolk Business Board Chair, Nick Steven-Jones, about the Norfolk Ambassador Programme.
"Working alongside the Business Board, Norfolk Ambassadors come from a wide variety of backgrounds, but all have something in common: a genuine commitment to sharing their knowledge and making a positive impact on our county, and its economy," explains Nick.
All Norfolk Ambassadors have signed a pledge to champion Norfolk.
"Advocating for Norfolk as a place to do business and invest, and showcasing the many reasons to live and work here, is central to the role of a Norfolk Ambassador," says Nick. "Ambassadors provide vital links between the business community and the Norfolk Business Board, sharing industry insight and highlighting both opportunities and challenges. Just as importantly, they help take Norfolk's message beyond the county, making sure our strengths are recognised nationally and not just locally."
Norfolk Ambassadors will receive regular updates from the Norfolk Business Board on the support that's available to Norfolk businesses, so they are able to share this within their own sectors and communities.
"But spreading the word about why Norfolk is a great place to do business cannot be the responsibility of a small group of people; it is up to everyone working within the business community to play their part. Our fantastic Norfolk Ambassadors have signed up to the Programme because they believe that Norfolk is a place where all types of businesses and industry can flourish. Because if businesses thrive, so do individuals and communities, with the development of jobs, infrastructure, inward investment and opportunities," Nick Steven-Jones concludes.
One of the first tasks set for the new Norfolk Ambassadors, and other attendees at the reception, was to answer the question "Why Norfolk?" They were invited to note their thoughts down on a postcard or answer the question on video. Responses will be collated over the forthcoming days and shared via social media and the Norfolk Business Board website.
